You have to decide whether you want to convert to dual fuel or straight propane. If you remove the gasoline tank, you pretty much have to a straight propane system. There are advantages and disadvantages to either conversion so it's your call as to which is best for your situation.

Having said that, the cheapest alternative is to scour the local junkyards and see if there are any wrecks with a tank that might fit. You will have to do the measurements yourself as the chances that the junkyard guy will know what need are are slim to none. With luck, you will find a tank in good condition and within its expiry date. If it is outside of its expiry date, you will have to find a company that can hydrotest the tank and recertify it.

The other option is to buy a new tank and you can contact either Sleegers Engineering or Manchester Tanks for a quote. There may be others that I am not aware of. I know that Sleegers has some tank specials and one of those might fit for a reasonable price.
