propane augmentation for gasoline
I have a 2001 dodge dakota 3.9 with dual curve system. Well the electronics are failing. The question is can I use part of the system to augment when running on gasoline?
Re: propane augmentation for gasoline
If I understand you correctly, you want to eliminate your failing Dual Curve 59362 controller and bleed-in propane while you're running on gasoline like the DIY diesel-propane systems.
While I think this is possible, I don't think it's very practical since there would be no way to effectively control the A/F mixture. Propane injection would be a good alternative but very little of your existing system would be reusable other than possibly your fuel tank and liquid lines.

What I was thinking was maybe change the regulator or the vapor hose to a smaller one then have it switch on only when the cruise control is activated. I may just engineer something to fool the PCM manually and keep it working.
