Idle RPM difference between to different brand LPG

Post by Delifisek » Sun Feb 09, 2014 10:01 am

Hello,

Mostly I use most cheapest local brand in my car. However last month I use BP lpg and I notice idle was higher than usual.

Also I look like does more mpg however I'm not really sure (due to BP to highway and local brant to very short city driving)

Anyway.

I'm just curious about RPM change. Does anyone can have technical description...

Thanks...

Some years ago we had no std for automotive LPG BP or otherwise.
One would get a load with higher propane... the tank would last ages.. far more economy, and very noticeable power
Also using the same fuel in the bbq , one could sear and cook a good steak.
Then one would get a bad load.. economy dropped, power dropped and steaks came out more boiled in their own juice.
Higher the propane content higher the energy content and generally the more expensive to produce.

And as to BP LPG in NZ.. it is around $1:30 /L and just as good as the Rockgas automotive LPG I use at $1:00 / L
My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
