Biodiesel posting on Eng-Tips
I'm a member of several waste veggy oil boards, and I'm in the process of securing my oil source, before I convert my truck to a 2-tank system.
A few friends of mine are ahead of me and have already converted their trucks... I'm just too lazy to collect & filter old oil (and have NO room to setup a filtering station at home), so I'm working on a batch of new (virgin) canola oil that's just past its "shelf date" for food use.. but the catch is, it's 8,000 gallons or none..
Bio blends from veggy oils have been shown to decrease wear metals as much as nearly 50% too, which helps longevity..
