I am going to victoria island in a couple of months to do some salmon fishing, the problem I face is that I am driving into vancouver and I have a couple felonies. Any one know how exactly this works at the border, do they even ask?

Canada Border Services Agency generally frowns on people with convictions. They may or may not ask if you've already had a conviction but lying to an CBSA officer is never a good thing to do. You can read more about the government's position at:

For more information, you should contact Citizenship & Immigration Canada:

Of course if you are a WANTED felon, you may want to use a fake ID/passport... 8)

Not wanted its about 4 years old, seems stupid to me but I understand the problem i guess. I heard that if you fly in they do all the checking before you even get there though. I will be driving through in the middle of the day

I think if you're re-paid your "debt" to society you're good to go, have you had your civil rights restored?

It means you go back to court and the judge can do his magic and say you are an ok citizen again and then you can Vote, own a Gun, etc that you can't legally do as a convicted felon.
