Access Problems?

Post by jono »

Has anyone else experienced forum access problems regarding username and passwords?

I only seem to be able to use a powerful servers terminal rather than my mobile devices

I only use a PC to access the forum and haven't noticed any login issues.

A while back, one the members recommended switching to a secure site (ie, https) and I've been working toward this. I expect to have this operational soon but I do not expect that the web server changes would have any effect on logging in.

https only means the user's connection to the webserver is 'secure'.
Has nothing to do with access on the webserver itself.

I did noticed being logged out again today for no reason.

Site response is slowish again after posting a reply. At least slow enough to raise doubts if the post is submitted correctly.

Frank, if you need any help with switching to https you can always ask.
First get the domain working under https, then change the forum settings and create a redirect to https for every visitor that still comes here through a http-bookmark.

Thank you for the offer of help.

There has been a slight change in the configuration of the web server due to a change to my web account. The account change now includes a SSL certificate, and I expect to have this sorted out soon.
