So having the fitting with the orange cap is correct to manifold vac..?...Ill put a t in it today and hook up a pcv in my valve cover, this 358 doest make a whole lot of vacuum. I think that my carb is mounted backwards, the screw with the spring by the poppet is on the front side. Everything seems to be working properly, i changed the x-1 to a woodward model and it looks exactly like the x-1. I checked it all for leaks with soapy water and there are no cold spots. I had the t's in the coolant hoses backwards, Also ran all new vac hoses. The air valve seems to move real nice, ...

Can any of you guys help me tune this mm x450, help is much appreciated, i dont see many adjustments.(i see some of you are really good at this) I see a mixture screw by the poppet valve and the idle screw on my baseplate, am i missing something ? I would like to get it tuned in since its decent run...

I bought a woodward n-h420sa, with a advanced fuel 121 lockoff and a new filter today. I installed it and she fired right up, so far so good, i have to get some more antifreeze and then take it for a spin. It idles real nice and seems to start rather quick. I tried both holding it to the floor and pumping it, neither work for me. I also tried turning it over with no throttle, the only way it starts is by cranking it then turning on the gas. If i leave the gas on and crank it seems to flood itself, then i switch off the gas and crank till it spudders th...

I found a new woodward vaporizer thats a little more that rebuilding the x-1 and is new, i was told its an exact replica of my x-1, the advanced lockoff 121 i have is also cheap. Any imput on this, is the woodward a good product..?

Ok for starters ill tell you what i have, a mm x450 with an x-1 evap. I have a 350(.040 over) with flat tops , large valves with small chambers, air gap intake, 515 lift crane cam. Runs excellent when it runs, my problem is that when you crank it it smells strong like propane and wont fire. If i tur...
