Re: Help to identify the parts in this picture.
These filters are popular overhere mainly they also function as a 'local' additional storage of liquid propane. Because of that they are inadvertently called 'storage pots'. They are usually mounted in the engine bay near the vaporizer. I have a couple of these laying around too and want to install ...

Re: Fuel level gauge at drivers end
Storm, don't you guys have an 80% max fill limit in the tanks? I'm running with 2 tanks in the trunk with a combined volume of 110 Liter, but I can only fuel up to around 75-80 liters orso. When the fluid level in the tanks become low enough to expose the fuel-pickup under acceleration, I will notic...

Re: Fuel level gauge at drivers end
I hate those led-level gauges. They are very popular with LPG-builds here too. On my daily driven Dodge I've made a custom dash and installed a Chevy-fuel gauge in there. It has the same 0-90 Ohm rating as the tank sender and works perfectly. What I also find a big positive is the gauge is not dampe...

Sounds like you had a fun, rainy day.

Re: 209 continental engine on propane
In addition, a heated intake-charge will expand the air/fuel-mixture and therefore less of it will be available to the engine per cycle to extract power from.

Re: Circuit Trackday with the '73 Dart
The engine itself runs nicely. However there are still a couple of things I want to address or 'upgrade' again. First is the camshaft. It's a CompCams XE256H, which I converted to a mechanical cam with adjustable rockers, because the hydraulic lifters kept collapsing. I will never build another engi...

Re: Circuit Trackday with the '73 Dart
I have a little better write-up on my site in the signature, but here's a short clip from trackside where someone happened to shoot some vid of my car in ahum "action"... https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=690&v=_pvFTPwUlEI I've also shot some in-car video myself with a cool iPhone app call...

Circuit Trackday with the '73 Dart
Last sunday I was able to put my Dart on the Circuittrack for a 20 minute blast around the 4.2km racetrack. This was my first time on a track and I wanted to get some feel of how the car performs at (some) higher speeds. Being my first time, one has to learn to 'read' the corners and how fast you ca...

Re: Adding an elec. fuelpump to an Impco vaporizer+425 setup
I replaced the Innovate MTX-L AFR gauge & controller with an entirely different one (albeit based on same Innovate basics) and the problem dissapeared. The new (MSD) gauge/controller provides a more steady and stable (and expected) readings of the AFR-ranges during acceleration/cruise and decelerati...

Re: Adding an elec. fuelpump to an Impco vaporizer+425 setup
Findings: No more hesistations during firm/hard acceleration with the tank getting close to empty. Other things I found recently: The engine seems to go very rich during hard acceleration(9-10 AFR), and runs very lean during cruise (17-19). I can't be sure if already was the case before, because the...

Re: Adding an elec. fuelpump to an Impco vaporizer+425 setup
Finally was able to rotate the 'lower' ringtank 180° in the car. Didn't change anything else at the moment. I will drive the tanks to empty during the week and report if the lack of power during accelerations is still present. The tank(s) were just filled up when I started this morning, which let me...

Re: Vaporizer temperature, contaminants, and separate thermostats
Recently I've been looking into digitally manage the vaporiser (outlet) temp and use a modern heater valve for this purpose. With the Megasquirt ECU in my car, I can install a temp-sensor in the vapourhose and control a heater valve with that to maintain a steady temp(range). My goal is to be able t...

Re: Vaporizer temperature, contaminants, and separate thermostats
I think they indeed do mean to say the 'heavy' oil will seperate from the vapour. This thermostat would be nice for a low performance setup where there is 'enough' time to compensate for changes in engine-load and fuel demand. I'm not so sure the thermostat will/can change quick enough to compensate...

I doubt I will be able to do all at once.
Winter has been very mild upto now overhere but it's bound to get colder next week, which means less garage time for me.
