Keeping these vapour lines from the injector solenoids as short as possible and as equal a length as possible would be standard practice, one would think. An older V8 such as the 455 olds I think youd get away with them centered over the valve covers with the right bracket.

Check this thread out. You will see Turbineguy's excellent conversion and how the injectors work. You drill the manifold for injector ports but the injectors feed them via tubbing. http://fuelsforum.rasoenterprises.com/viewtopic.php?t=883 Make sure to follow the links to all the pics. Oh well here t...

Vapour injection can be done standalone with a megasquirt ecu, and the forum founder Frank can help with kits for this. Still a bunch of tuning and mapping to accomplish as you are starting from scratch. Liquid, as Franz mentioned, is a whole nuther ball game! Very special tank with internal pump, f...

Yes, I've seen the Red Tek site, and the Duracool, and the envirosafe, and some others. If you go by red tek then propane/isobutane is compatable with all oils. I have two systems to work with, one will be a test bed as the system was trashed before I started. I am not concerened if I lose the compr...

NO comercial gain, for sure. But on to the oil compatibilty thing. ALL I have read from both sides says mineral (R12 compatible) oil is miscibil in propane, or rightfully a 60/40 mix of propane and isobutane. I am always open to new info! Some links on this if interested, http://yarchive.net/ac/oils...

Well, I've been doing alot more research on this and I have come to the decision to use it. It is not ileagle in Ontario to do so providing all standard conversion practices are followed and the systems labelled. Of course the system that has some R12 left in it will be properly recovered before any...

Yes Franz, I should have said remove the vacuum source. I will stand corrected. I still stand by returning the system to "as designed" status. I see in the vacuum diagram that there is a solenoid in the vacuum line going to the vapourizer and VFF30. Franz, could that be a mixture controlling solenoi...

Re: metal line

There shouldnt be a second liquid line feeding the vaporizer, at least, not without a lockoff somewhere on each fuel line. It would be great if you could trace the second line routing and tell us where it connects. As for the pin in the vacuum lockoff, try this first. With the engine running, gentl...

All of this sounds great, and if you can use equipment thats almost free then even better. Out of curiosity, what are you using for fuel tanks? I find this to be my biggest stumble, the cost of a proper tank. Maybe you and your friend were able to source used ones cheap, which I have been unsuccessf...

The proper, approved, Liquid fuel hose should have the right connectors on it, should it not? Remember, a vapour hose is not the proper hose, it must be a reinforced line approved for LPG.

Are fuel prices driving people to bad decisions?

After reading almost every post on this list over the last year or so. Spending lots of time researching proper conversions. And working on my own conversion of an older carburetted engine. I feel a know enough to make the following comments, without bias or malice. If fuel prices are driving you to...

Now I remember! I saw you guys on discovery channel testing the engine for the Eagle! What was it again, a fuel sensor problem? Anyhow, I absolutley love the magnetic braking, hows that working out for them? For those not familiar here's a link or two, http://www.landspeed.com/ http://www.bluebird-e...

I've kinda been watching the mega squirt stuff. Ever since a few people were experimenting with motorcycle fuel injection. I also expected it to evolve, especialy the spark controls. But anyone with good results protect their programming! At least as I have found.
