Yes, if the engine stops the fuel should stop. That goes for gasoline, diesel or LNG I guess it will come down to price and availability. Don't want to spend more than needed. electric versus vacume lock off

I read in another post that you can use an electric lockoff triggered by an oil pressure switch. I like this idea as it sounds more reliable than a vacuum lock off. (maybe, what do I know) I have liked this system even for electric fuel pumps ever since I owned a Vega which had this very same setup ...
