Re: Prins VSI T2 sensor
Ah ok, I've never seen a picture of a filter with a sensor on it so I was unaware of the T2 sensor. I can see no reason, apart from pressure, to not use another filter assembly as long as it can safely hold the pressure and has the same micron rating. Let me elaborate my thoughts to explain things a...

Re: Prins VSI T2 sensor
Hi C3H8 Thanks for this information, just to clarify the sensor is on the regulator not the filter. From this information my understanding is that it is just a sensor and does not have any other function in the system, is this correct? If this is the case I can safely assume that the sensor itself d...

Re: Prins vsi
They are interesting sites C3H8. Just after I got my LPG fitters licence I contacted Profire about fitting their system to my Toyota for testing purposes (theirs and mine). They said yes but my car had to be fitted up in Western Australia and had to stay there. That was no good to me because I live ...

Re: Prins vsi
In Australia there are Prins LPG only systems running around and they do start on LPG, simply because they are not duel fuel they must start on LPG. The issue you will have with the Prins system, that is if you are running the Prins ECU connected to the injector wires of the OEM ECU, is you will hav...

Re: Prins vsi
Petrol Injectors can leak down for many reasons, old age being one of them. I wouldn't immediately blame the LPG system for it.
I don't understand the last part of your post. Is it a question or a statement? It is written like a statement but has a question mark.

Very nice. Is there much of a difference in HP and Torque values when running like this compared to a dedicated twin carb manifold?

If you have a car that must use an authorised kit then yes the authorities think this is important. The fact you don't have a car that requires an authorised kit means they don't care.jono wrote:Important thing is tailpipe emissions for the authorites,

Looks good Gerald. A dash from an old car would have been useful as well. Something like this old FX/FJ Holden unit.

Can't see the pics unless you are a member of that forum and are logged in. I'm not inclined to join another forum just to see pics.

Re: Pontiac 389 engine with a Impco 425 - high idle
Pontiac engines (not the corporate, chevy, engine) like yours don't really like alot of advance. I had a 77 Bandit TA/6.6 and it was set fairly low. The higher the compression the less advance you want so I would be sticking near the OEM settings until you get some driving done and then start advanc...

Re: 327 build - fine tuning
Then I got a Innovate data logger and accessories with O2 rpm, tps imap and knock... damn near a grands worth in this country. Do you remember the part numbers? I can't, for the life of me, find a knock sensor accessory on their site. I was thinking the LM2, and the LMA-3 (AuxBox) but none of the a...

Re: 327 build - fine tuning
I'd replace the spark plugs and also check the ignition system (plug leads, dist cap, etc.) just to make sure everything is in proper working order. Then I'd be going through the things C3H8 mentioned. It's no use setting timing up on an engine where the ignition system has seen better days.
