How do you have the timing set up? When you say 40 total is that base + mech + vac. It is possible to have too much advance making the engine struggle at wot against combustion pressures. Also what's your RPM maximum? What RPM is your power dropping off at?

The two products work at different pressures. Although an engine might run on both the Century will run richer all the way through the bands. The century reg has higher primary pressures but only requires .5" wc to pull the secondary diaphragm open.

Length: 12.25" or 31CM or 310MM

Trim length to allow small gap between ends. Approximately 1/32" to 1/16"

Material: Unknown but appears to be the same as a standard black o'ring.

I should have also mentioned, check the colour of the secondary spring in the regulator. To use it with an OHG mixer it should be orange in colour. Blue works with IMPCO 425. Orange, the 1/2" WC, works with the X450.
