Maybe we're thinking of 2 different parts? The PCV - Positive Crankcase Ventilation goes from a valve cover either into the air filter housing, or in my case, is just a push-in filter.
Do you mean EGR? (Exhaust gas recirculation)

Another option is using internally wastegated turbos... keeps the plumbing much simpler.

All of the heated 02 sensors that I have seen have been after the cat. Dont know that I've seen one right after the manifold. Most newer cars run heated sensors before and after the cat. Pre-cat to talk with the ECM to control fuel, and post-cat for OBD-II compliance to monitor the performance of t...

the Impco system on my Ford will not flow fuel to start unless the throttle is held open and even then it takes forever to get fuel. the install difference is the distance from the vff30 to convertor. hard piped to the convertor on the ohg system, about 12"-18" of -06 on the Impco system. Ditto. My...

It baffles me why anyone would want to give the spark an "easy way out" with these 4 prong spark plugs, since electricity will always follow the path of least resistance, producing the weakest spark. It should also be noted that Platinum +4 plugs were specifically named by Audi/VW as NOT to be used ...

No real help, but a friend of mine also has an AMC 360 on 'pane, and he goes through almost 2 forklift tanks in a day of rock crawling, while I still have some left over from one tank at the end of a similar day. I haven't seen his rig since he's converted it, so I can't comment if he's running rich...

What's your compression ratio? FranzH has some great guidlines on his site, and they are working well for me. I recurved my dizzy (HEI) to the lightest springs, bringing in the centrifugal advance as quickly as possible. I think I'm back to ~8° BTDC. I tried going higher, but it would ping under he...

I'm a member of several waste veggy oil boards, and I'm in the process of securing my oil source, before I convert my truck to a 2-tank system. A few friends of mine are ahead of me and have already converted their trucks... I'm just too lazy to collect & filter old oil (and have NO room to setup a ...

I've also heard that it's best to try and keep the regulator not lower than the level of the mixer if possible. A friend of mine has his lockoff connected to the reg with a pipe nipple, and then the large low pressure hose to the mixer. Mine is the other way around, lockoff on the firewall, reg. har...

Great link, thanks... I'm about to get a tank for my house to run the fireplace, and it would be SO convenient to be able to fill my fork tanks tanks out in the back yard... And I might actually use enough to fulfill their once-a-year requirement to refill! I'll probably use the port that's under th...
