Re: Is anyone familiar with HANA LPG injectors?
Brainstorming is great. The facts are obvious and you appear to have a few different angles to consider but the 1 nagging question is with regards to the regulator. No use having a group of injectors to feed a 500+ ci Big Block of a potential 2000+ HP if you can't find a reg(s) to feed them at the ...

Re: Is anyone familiar with HANA LPG injectors?
Their home age only lists injectors and injector accessories. This is their homepage: http://hanakit.com/lpg/injector/?ckattempt=1 , there is some more stuff listed on that page. Thinking outside the square is the basis of high performance but to think outside the square facts are needed. Sure. And...

Re: Is anyone familiar with HANA LPG injectors?
The H2100 looks interesting but with up to 60 HP/cylinder available from the H2001 & H2002 you'd be hard pressed to beat them. Just as a comparison the big Prins injectors put out similar numbers to the small Hana's and come in kits with a reg, what regs do Hana recommend? I'm still in the process ...

Is anyone familiar with HANA LPG injectors?
For quite some years now, I've been very interested in making a (very) high performance engine run on LPG. I have already aquired 2 Impco 600's, and it will be interesting to see if I can make one or both of them work in an automotive application. However, EFI has my preference. With LPI my ultimate...

Re: Impco 600
No, the mixer itself has a flange at the base, at which the the butterfly valve portion bolts on. That portion has the same flange size as the mixer. Flange size sits neatly between a 4150 and a 4500 carb base. Luckily, I have an early procomp victor style intake with a flange that doesn't fit a 450...

Re: Impco 600
Back in the 80's ..... They will supply fuel as long as the mixer is reacting properly. I think I remember your post of the 750 CI BB from quite some years ago! In the 80's a 706 CI mountain motor was the popular size in Pro Mod and the like, so with 750 CI back then he must've been king of the hil...

Re: Impco 600
Very true on the AFR guage, I just bolted the 425 I have on a 454, and I know its wayyyy to rich at idle, and propably lean at WOT.
So more spring pressure in the converter leans it out, good to know!

Impco 600
Hi guys, I've managed to snag 2 of the big Impco 600 mixers of ebay. I've done some reading on these things, and most of it mentions that a 600 can't be used on an automotive engine. Guess what I'm going to do....? ;) I have a BIG block Chevy coming my way, it should be here in Feb/March. It has a 1...

Re: Randomly losing power @ WOT
Those electric lockoffs at least in Europe have to allow a backward flow into the tank when not energized. It is therefore not recommended to feed one line with multiple tanks without using oneway-valves. Even with a throw switch and only one lockoff energized at a time, there is still the danger o...

Re: Randomly losing power @ WOT
I chased something like this around for a long time ... with a sudden lean out in AFR randomly, useually going up a hill constant speed or acceleration at cruising speed. often mild acceleration just getting up to full highway speed. turned out t be a most minute burr on the main piston inside the ...

Re: Randomly losing power @ WOT
If the problem is occurring with the HO454 (listed in your signature) you may be finding you are reaching the HP limit of flow at the tank outlet. If the pressure of the tank is low (cold day) the fuel flow can be less than the engine requires. On a warm day the tank pressure is higher so fuel flow...

Re: Randomly losing power @ WOT
BBM has pointed out one of the issues that can happen, although as mentioned it is uncommon for it to happen rapidly because of the liquid in the line. This was a common problem in our school buses and large trucks with tanks mounted outside the frame parallel to the frame. Climbing long grades in ...

Re: Randomly losing power @ WOT
Some good 'food for thought' posts here, thank you! Same experience here. Whenever my tanks get below say, well below half full, I can sense hesitation at hard accelerations, or swift cornering. This is confirmed by the AFR-gauge in my car, which goes very lean in these situations. Both my tanks are...

Randomly losing power @ WOT
Hi, Lately I've been experiencing severe hesitation when going WOT. Not constantly though, it happens very randomly. This is my setup: two tanks teed into one line, to a E vaporizer into a 425 mixer. Electric lockoffs. Now I think it has something to do with it being a two tank setup, since when dri...
