Re: selling my 425/model e turbo fuel system

Also for sale is an edelbrock intake for LS chevy motors, $200.

If you want to go turbo propane Chevy LS in some old hot rod this is almost $2k worth of parts and easily 50-100 hours of assembly fabricating and parts hunting done for you.

Selling my 11 second Turbo propane Chevy

Still needs a new junkyard motor, which is cheap, but I don't have the time to tinker with it right now. On to other permaculture type projects, organic gardening, cooking, vermiculture, spending time with the family etc. Selling whole or in a few weeks parting out in case anyone want the parts to o...

Re: Afr's, egts, timing and boost.

I cooked my 5.3 at 1650 egt on a hot lap at the track, most likely butted a ring from all that heat but I still need to do an autopsy, truck has been sitting in the weeds. I think if I would have let it cool down between passes it might still be running. Would love to see how the meth nozzle works o...

Re: Air /Fuel O2 sensor tuning.

On the dyno my tuner has an assortment of tailpipe chunks he just adds on to the end of the tailpipe with a clamp and screws his sensor into the appropriate diameter peice for the vehicle he is working on. The reading was very close to the one I had on the vehicle so it was a trustable reading. You ...

"Sorry to hi-jack the thread, so back to the OP...."

Hi-jack away! My question has been pretty much answered, love to hear any experiences as there is surprisingly little info on this new technology.

Liquid injection installation

Do any of the liquid injection kits available offer do it yourself installation, or do all of them require you to find a dealer/installer to have it installed? There seems to be so little in the ways of info on any of these systems, all the mfg websites are kind of vague. Been emailing and calling o...

Re: Best practise idle speed setting for LPG.

Just for kicks I turned my guinnea pig engine down as far as it would go, got it to idle at 290 rpm for a good while. at that low of speed practically all you hear is air, it's so weird...could practically read the serpentine belt as it went by:) -for no reason other than to see how low it would go...

Re: Propane 5.3L LS Turbo Truck runs 11's

I have an innovate tps kit, $30 if you want it. I tried it and the reading was off too far on my oem for me to get it to work. Would have worked great otherwise but as you have found, need to be able to set 0 and 100% if you want it to work correctly. Let me know.

Re: Propane 5.3L LS Turbo Truck runs 11's

I'd bet your starting to get liquid propane in at your power levels with just 1 mixer. also I'd definitely get some good valvesprings, like some pac1218s or some good duals. 5.3Ls are not known for their valvespring strength. You are dead on, would explain why leaning it out under low flow makes it...

Re: Idle - Impco 425 on 327 small bloc

There may be a difference between an impco brand gasket and a holley gasket, meaning the holley has holes in it to allow travel through the baseplate and impco just uses the necessary holes for the propane carb. Just a guess.
