yahoo: back on the road again. Recut the valves and seats, install new valve springs, and proper size shim ( gave the original machine shop a kick in the pants too!!) The garage doing the initial tune recommended running without vacuum advance hooked up. I didn't like like with all my research....so...

so...machine shop information ....valve seats were non concentric by several thou over factory tolerances, and compounded by spring height needing .060" of shims to bring it to factory specs.....will recut seats, grind valves and install new springs( that will actually close the valves!!)and shims. ...

Thanks for the replys....compression test ( worst cyl 80 lbs , best 185 lbs, rest all over the map.) Leak down test 95% leak down on 4 cyl, 90% on one , 70, 42 and 38 %. Checked HC and no blown head gasket. All air leaking back thru the mixers. So...off with the heads. ....back from the machine shop...

HC/COx test can be done @ rad shop??? Brought truck back from shop last night, definatley missing now on at least one cylinder. I will do compression test and leak down test today.
