F350 1995 5.8L LPG conversion Need HELP!!!

Post by EtienneS »

Hello everyone!
I'm new to the LPG world and would like if possible to get some advise...help...input from you guys.

I have a Ford f350 1995 with a freshly rebuilt 5.8L with TBI injection...and would like to convert it to propane.
I've read in other tread maybe to use an Impco 425 with VFF30 and lock off...
Also people are talking about the Dualcurve 5908 is it necessary or is there an other alternative.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry for my error English is not my first language

Have you got pictures of the engine? I'm not saying your wrong but I have never seen a TBI system on a Ford V8 in an Effie.

A question for you that will help me to answer the timing question.
1. What ECU is the vehicle fitted with (e.g. EEC-IV, EEC-V, something else)?

If it is an EEC ECU you may be able to fit an addon module that will allow you to have 2 dedicated timing maps. 1 for Petrol and 1 for LPG.

With regards to using a 425 I probably wouldn't go that way if the engine never gets over 4000rpm. If it is indeed a TBI system you may be better off fitting a 300 or even a 200 - 2xx style mixers.
Fuel flow requirements calculations
Engine air flow requirement calculation: CFM = Cubic Inches x RPM x Volumetric Efficiency (VE) ÷ 3456
