BOV?

Post by ForceFed »

Is there a need for two BOV's? I tried running one bov pre-mixer hoping not to have to buy a more expensive plumbback valve. I figured I could install it pre mixer and just let it vent into the engine compartment. I found on long wot pulls if I chopped the throttle and didn't immediately get back into it the engine would die. I bought a plumbback valve and installed it post mixer. However I didn't have time to test. My brother-in-law took it out and said it worked good with both bov's, but I don't see why you need two. I know others who install 2 on snowmobiles, but why? Is one bov not able to drop the pressure fast enough?
