weld ? Impco alloy bits and throttle bodies

Can Impco alloy components like their adaptors A3-31 in my case be successfully welded to items of similar alloy such as a throttle body? I have tried previously with alloy rods that are melted to bond but cannot get enough heat as throttle body keeps absorbing it and don't want to damage any bearings or seals within it. Wondering if mig or tig users have any experience. Thanks, Jono
