1978 FJ40 Rock Crawler

Post by skargo »

Hi there, My name is Scott and I have a modified, 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40.

My reason for the conversion is propane will run at extreme angle, my stock carb would cut out like a light switch at certain inclines, SCARY when you are 50 up a steep rock face.

I found this site as I was having trouble keeping it running, but I think as of yesterday and today, I am good. I had to re-route my coolant lines from what you see in the pics. The thinking was their was air trapped in the lines causing my issue.
Here's a couple pics.

Even though I'm a jeep guy, I've always liked the old FJs.

What are you running for a tank?
