Re: Turbo balance line

lambda is lambda,, so is you put the gauge display to lambda there is no confusion when you select LPG or conversely petrol AFR display the calibration factor used is different 13:1 target LPG AFR it is - ================ the orange spring has changed the operating pressure of the converter from a s...

Re: Turbo balance line

petrol stoic ( 1.0 lambda ) = 14.7:1 LPG blend stoic ( 1.0 lambda ) = 15.5 if your gauge displays only in lambda and displays 1.0 while running LPG then you have 15.5 : 1 mixture if your gauge displays AFR only and is calibrated for petrol then you are actually running 15.5 when it displays 14.7 ( w...

Re: Turbo balance line

you wont need to run the feedback controller,, just the air and gas valve assembly,, which errs richer all round i am a little concerned about your target AFR advice,, as richer than stoic 15.5:1 only makes extra heat with LPG ( while extra petrol mixes cool ) 13.5 is usually target at WOT in booste...

Re: Turbo balance line

dont modify the jet in any way ! the FB ( feedback ) versions of the same mixers also offer richer needle options - these systems err rich with jetting,, and use the lambda feedback to a CPU the controls a solenoid that will shortcut a stronger vac /reference signal to the converter momentarily with...

Re: So happy to be here

welcome,, interesting project ! myself suspect that that engine could well make past 200 rwhp given the right turbo package and so suspect the 125 may be too small i would err maybe to a 200 FB mixer and closed loop controller the 200 is fairly compact compared to the dome like 225 ,, and certainly ...

Re: Turbo balance line

the pill/ restriction should be on the line with highest pressure,, the compressor outlet the system as i described needs to have a pressure drop between the compressor and the mixer ie an intercooler so that there is there a differential pressure between the compressor signal and the mixer hat sign...

Re: stalling on deceleration (impco 425 + turbo)

i run blow through 225 and it had similar stall on decell after boost issues initially initially i tried the dashpot route,, for partial successes i found altering the placement and the sensetivity of the blow off valve,, and routing the vent back to the aircleaner did a fair bit to help ( the BOV i...

in Oz,, and running 225 mixer under boost ,, and yes i have the lean down do-dad ( with vacuum only warning ) fitted ( which takes the stronger vac signal from front of the TB rather than the normal signal from the front side of air valve to lean down the converter/ vaporizer signal,, more vac = les...

Re: Propane and Mazda rotaries?

hello all, first post !, all the way from sunny western australia FYI i have put about 35 000 km on this customised impco 225 feedback system installed on my 1986 FC 13bt rx7 firstly ,, a little background the system uses the same basic feedback impco 225 vapour mixer install that would be used on m...
