sorry if i have misunderstood this question but if you asking if it is OK to run lpg vapour and air mix through standard heater ? can anyone offer info on how gas producers produced gas as used during or after WWII. What and how was used to produce the gas. i think you are going to hear differing opinions

some say one step colder, drop gap to .08mm, run multi electrode plugs to increase chance of spark in bad times, IMPCO book of the 70's says use platinums and no change gap ! Gees, how dear were platinums back then ??
