the only place i have had to fill up at a non rockgas pump was at Tekapo a year or so back....i got the biggest tank i could fit when i converted (75L if i can coax the AFL to stick open) so i wouldn't have to worry about having to walk when doing long distance work i've had a talk with a couple of ...

new conversion decisions
i was talking to a LPG installer a couple of weeks ago about getting my GF's car'('99 Subaru Legacy) converted to gas and the installer was of the opinion that i would be better off to avoid the injection systems available because of 'interesting quality' LPG that we seem to get here sometimes that ...

Re: BLOS carb?
And they tested and certified a Blos mixer ? Can't believe that part :) no they haven't...because the under NZ regulations they don't need to test any part of the gas system that is under vacuum...as in anything between the regulator and the engine....considering how anal they are about certed part...

Re: BLOS carb?
You can't bring it close to a sequential injection without a feedback setup. Thats why carbs are dead now. So as we all know, membranes tend to wear and fail, and what about the availability of spare parts ? well.....my one works rather well for a "dead unit"......and it was $3600 nzd cheaper than ...

Re: BLOS carb?
Keep in mind, folks, that the claim is that it performs better than fuel injection and implies that the emissions are lower too. We need to remember that a vehicle can perform well while emissions are off the scale. It is impossible to tune it by feel or ear and come anywhere close to a closed loop...

Re: closed loop controller for propane carbs
a fast acting controller over a vacuum operated restrictor valve in the line to the mixer would be a good thing.... i have used a couple of the narrow band stepper motor type A/F ratio controllers and they react waaaay too slowly especially when your off & on the throttle all the time (tight winding...
