A CA100 mixer and J or Cobra reg should be enough for a 1.8; I ran this setup on a 1.6 w/o trouble up to 6000 RPM. I'd also recommend the mixer->adapter->intake approach, as long as it's a metal adapter & not a hoaky rubber boot. If you're really adventurous and have good insurance, try plumbing the...

To the bext of my knowledge, LPG installation safety standards are NOT enforced in CA. We have no safety inspections for vehicles, only smog testing from which your chassis will be exempt. I live and drive in CA and have done one conversion "correctly", and one "stupid" one. Over the course of two y...

" Screws on the IMPCO 425 base are 12-24 X 5/8" long."

12 = Diameter reference
24 = pitch (tpi)
5/8 = length (in)

You're not looking for a 5/8" diameter screw (which IS huge), but a 12-24 screw which is 5/8" long. Good luck, -A

A standard mechanical fuel pump can pump "dead-headed" (i.e. into a capped, terminated line) without any trouble, so a return line is not necessary. This is not the case with many electric EFI fuel pumps, which will create a nice gasoline kablooie in the same situation. I would place the solenoid af...

You can keep the mechanical pump; just add an inline fuel cut-off solenoid between it and the gas carb.

Your IAC is now flowing vapor propane, so heater hose is "technically" not good enough; I've used 5/8" diesel fuel line with success. For a really solid install, find some 5/8" vapor propane line.

Check out the truck with the bed-mounted wood gasifier at the bottom of the pics table:

This thing could idle on the stuff, but not drive. It clearly uses top-notch construction techniques and some specialty parts, lol.
