Re: HELP!! 2002 F150 7700,intermittent start.

Shamrock: I was asked to chime in but you say you got it running well. If so, congratulations! The GFI-Ford partnership was not a happy marriage and resulted in one of the highest warranty issues Ford faced. Both the Compuvalve and the vaporizer/converter were very problematic with a host of continu...

Re: Franz Hofmann and my Diagnostic Guide

Hello Storm; I confess that I have not reviewed any of the prior posts, and am not familiar with the one you are referring to. If anyone has a specific question, I will try and answer when I am able. As I stated, VERY significant life events have required me to redirect my time to more pressing matt...

Franz Hofmann and my Diagnostic Guide

Hello my fellow LPG fan(atics)! The forum administrator asked me to check in and say hello to all of you. I deeply apologize for not being as regular a contributor as I once was but certain life events have caused me to redirect my time and energy. I am still a gearhead, petrol head, and gas head, a...

Re: Need automotive LPG troubleshooting help?

The forum moderator asked me to toss in a quick update. I retired from my full time job back in 2012 and have been busy doing typical retirement projects and dealing other family issues. I still have considerable interest in the industry but have not paid much attention to this board which is totall...

Re: Retirement sale

Retirement has several meanings, but in mine, it was finally quitting my day-job, the one that has helped pay the bills for almost 46 years. My wife and I have our regular home and our ranch, about 30 miles away, and both require almost daily upkeep. When you have a ranch, that also means something ...

Retirement sale

I am now fully retired from the alternative fuel arena. I will be selling all of my remaining inventory of hard parts, electronics, fuel injection, hardware, etc. These items will be sold in packages, meaning, all of the electronics in one package, all the small engine electronic fuel injection kits...

Re: air valve flow ratings hand printed

Jono, look in the Diagnostic Guide, somewhere around page 53 for some info on the Impco air-valves. From what I've been told, in recent production runs from around 2017 on, the valves were computer coded and may not have the hand printed values.

Re: New LPG books available

I just checked and the link is indeed gone. The Propane Council, the organization that hired me to develop the training manuals, has since contracted with the National Alternative Fuel Training Council, an entity of West Virginia University, to be their education provider. From what I can piece toge...

Re: Camshaft for sbc on propane

Now, THAT is what I call a really decent discussion! ! ! ! Lets assume for a second that your current camshaft may indeed be worn out (not that uncommon on older small block Chevy's). As I state in my book and from years of work on engines, I prefer a little more lift rather than duration, to increa...

Re: Techno car efs400

I have the Technocarb set up tool and scanner which I will sell. I'll also toss in an additional mini-scanner that has an LED that has burned out. Both for $125.00 USD and I'll include shipping here in the US. Add the appropriate shipping for non-US destinations. When I got these scanners, they were...

Re: ppi aluminum tank

I bought one (a segmented welded tank like this one) several years ago for a research project. It was very dirty inside from welding slag and what appeared to be aluminized dust. It took numerous tries to dislodge the debris, vibrating, shot blasting, pressure washing, etc. However, I dont recall if...

Re: freshie impco rich on decel ???

You mentioned you had the sensor mounted at the tailpipe. It needs to be as close to the engine as possible to prevent fresh air reversion. Engines exhaust pulses in normal operation, especially on decel, and raw air dilutes the mixture around the sensor. Normal cruise mixture of around 15:1 is grea...

A few parts are usable, here is a brief listing. MUCH more to come. I have two vaporizer temperature controller kits, originally manufactured by MSD-Autotronics.
