Re: More questions on my tank, (pressure relief vent)....

Thanks Franz,

:? Sometimes things can get lost in the translation outside US borders. For a while there I got a bit nervous  . Now about that purge....on second thought perhaps the liqiud out valve may be a better location... :?:

More questions on my tank, (pressure relief vent)....

http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag11/Bootoxwhippa/TankPorts_zps52267694.jpg The more stuff I get the more questions pop up. One might ask why don't I ask the distributor? In my case the ones that I've spoken to know more about the sales aspect than the product. I get faster and clearer answers ...

Re: Found this on the web....

Thank you. You know I searched the whole site and I have not been successful in finding that post with the three books. I'm very interested in leaning more about CleanFuel USA Liquid Propane Fuel Injection and Roush CleanTech Liquid Propane Fuel Injection. That will be my next graduation level. In S...

Re: Found this on the web....

....An alternate method uses a suitably sized metal flange that is securely fastened to the trunk or other suitable location. The flange should be sealed with an appropriate sealer material. The flexible conduit is fastened to this flange with a worm-drive hose clamp.... http://i1296.photobucket.co...

Found this on the web....

Not sure if this has been posted in the past, but I found this guide on the WWW: http://www.autogasusa.org/uploadedFiles/Fuel/Resources/RRC_Autogas_Webinars/Tanks%20and%20Lines%2003-20-2012(1).pdf Interesting enough is that one of our members is a contributor, (Franz Hofmann). The guide has been ext...

Re: Tanks in...the fun begins, need help...

LOL! Actually the one on the lower image is used on the older RV Manchester tanks. It has plastic clips on the back that pop into the tanks gauge pod. The newer ones, (mine), are screwed onto the pod with two small screws. I ordered it and it's on its way. :D

Re: Tanks in...the fun begins, need help...

.....I think they are saying that these tanks originally come with a visual (non electric) sight gauge. Just a needle you would have to go to the tank to see, much like a forklift cylinder.... You are absolutely right. The gauge that comes with the tank, (first image), does not have the two wires t...

Re: Tanks in...the fun begins, need help...

....The gauge wiring does connect to the dash and is a variable resistor. Hopefully, it will match your dash gauge resistance values but probably not. You will need to find what your fuel tank sending unit resistance value is at empty and at full and see if the new tanks sending unit matches. They ...

Re: More questions on the CT425M-2

LOL...I don't know what to say Steptoe, I'll just leave it at that... Well anyway I do consider myself a professional on Rochester carburetors and yes I do have a steady hand and bore the shaft openings with the proper tool, (been doing it for several years). Now which one of the adjustment...

Re: More questions on the CT425M-2

I installed bushings on the primaries just for this experiment. Steptoe..I'm not sure if I'm following you, or we're talking apples and bananas...but on the Q-Jet throttle plate the secondaries are ALWAYS locked down. This is by design and you can argue that with the engineers which are the Rocheste...

Re: More questions on the CT425M-2

What he is basically saying is that the carb you bolt onto the throttle plate handles all the mixing with those two adjustments you pointed out. Good to know! Now which one is for the mix and which one is for the idle? The problem he is saying is that the plate has to be able to shut out ...

Tanks in...the fun begins, need help...

Well you don't get a manual with these things so hopefully some members can help me out here. I'm not sure on what the inlets or outlet sizes are. Questions: Were do the inlet fill hose attach to? Which is the outlet ? And are the electrical connections for hook up to the dash fuel gauge? http://i1...

Re: More questions on the CT425M-2

Hey thanks Steptoe but I find myself having difficulty understanding what you wrote.I do fully understand how a Q-jet works. The issues you wrote about on the Q-Jet are not by design but by lack of understanding on how the carb was engineered. :| The curb idle system on the throttle plate can easily...
