Thanks for the valuable replies. I suspected there was not much difference between the two. I have an old Impco LPG service book that indicates the Impco mixers can be either side of the turbo and this intended installation will be turbo draw through the mixer so mixer won't see the boost pressure. ...

Impco 5psi turbo rating - push them any more ?

I intend a turbo conversion using Impco gear and note a a 5 psi rating for turbo use. How much can this be increased above the 5 psi ? My turbo is set at factory 6psi and think surely this 5 psi has been successfully pushed beyond 5psi safely and reliably.

I ask as I am planning a conversion on a Subaru EA82 factory turbo efi to straight gas. I have been told to use Impco 125 mixer between air filter and turbo and...

Draw through, turbo and intercooler ??

g'day all, I am planning my next gas conversion on a 1987 Subaru sedan, 4x4 auto, 1.8 litre OHC efi turbo. Intention is to use the trusty old style Impco components in the sequence known as 'draw thru' air filter>>mixer>>turbo>>throttle body>>inlet manifold in the lpg dedicated form my gas guru tell...
