Re: ASME vs dot forklift tanks

If I was building a car like that I would use a LP tank from a motor home or the like they are legal for road use ( In Canada they never need to be re certified ) and I'm sure you could pull up to a propane store and have them fill the tank with the machine sitting on a trailer , there are a few dif...

Re: Blow through turbo Snowmobile

Yea I run the dragon with an ADJUSTABLE switch on the throttle at the mixer to give him a little extra at close to wot . It actually works as a cold start also all I do is turn ignition on and open throttle full for a couple of seconds that will prime you up , let it sit with the throttle open for 3...

Re: Al-gas 60 mixer ,, c-250a reg.

Yup .. the one I talk about is bottom center ,, the thumb adjuster is left and up it actually has a bolt head with a slot for a screw driver .. the bottom brass one is very sensitive and demands a slow adjustment Maybe 1/6 of a turn from run to no run either way .. to make the engine run again I tur...

Al-gas 60 mixer ,, c-250a reg.

The old forklift with the al=gas 60 mixer and the c-250a fuel system has been giving me some problems .. mostly stalling and hard starting .. took the reg. apart and checked things everything seemed fine .. found the brass slot adjuster on the bottom of the mixer gave it a small bit of a turn and it...

Re: Vapor hose ?

Yes I went to the web page after some info from storm , and me thinks I will try it , .. I actually dont see them making a hose that would not be compatible seeing as most of the reg's seem to need coolant running through them , Been looking around and cant find anywhere of someone changing vapor ho...

Re: 300A on 2-bbl carb upgrade to 4bbl with Impco 425

Seems to me I just read an article on your type of problem and it ended up the the screws in the aluminum base plate were to far apart and when tightened down warp at the center enough to create a vacuum leak . I'm sure it was on this forum I read that .. i think it was where the new throttle plate ...

Re: Propane pollution

Any kind of a pollution should be considered and I am sure no matter where we go there will be this problem . that said I'm betting that propane pollution is minimal at fueling stations , .. has anyone ever considered how much is blasted into the atmosphere from any number of products and would thin...

Re: Spark plug gap

Hi geraldm, Very interesting thoughts. Which reminds me, when a mechanic changed the plugs some months ago, he found 5 of the plugs were copper and one iridium. That time I did not pay any attention on this, did not check gaps or what ever... did not even ask on what cylinder was the iridium plug i...
