I will be interested to know if it works as I have a rich/lean gauge in my truck. I didnt think it would end up being any good when I convert the engine over but if it will work I will keep it. Let us know if this gauge works for you..

Only problem with that I think is propane has a different stoichiometric value than that of gasoline. Basically I think the gauge will read incorrectly.

Propane and exhaust system

Just wondering about putting an exhaust system on my truck. I have a 91 s-10 pickup with a 2.5L 4 banger. Im gonna be swapping that out for a 350 V8 that will be running on propane only. My question is when I get to doing the exhaust I was planning on running long tube headers with a crossover pipe ...

Impco 425 vs OHG 450

Just wondering if one of these is better than the other. Im going to be going for fuel mileage not max power.. Is the Impco better or the OHG, or really they are equal and its more of a preferance thing.

Thanks
Shane.

Ya Ive looked at the trick flows but I want to try and stay with straight plug heads because this engine will be in an s-10 converted to a v8. You run into exhaust header issues with angle plug heads..

cylinder heads for propane use..

Just wondering what a good set of aftermarket heads for a 350 chevy would be. Is there anything I should look for? I took the stock heads off to rebuild them and found that they are not in great shape and would cost me nearly as much to fix as just getting a new set of Edelbrock RPM aluminum heads. ...

The engine will be used in a 91 s10 pickup that Im gonna lift and run 35-37" tires on. It will have a solid axle conversion in the front but I am keeping it 2wd. I also plan on running an Edelbrock Air Gap manifold and long tube headers. I may have to go with shorty headers but will be trying for th...

Camshaft selection with LPG

Just wondering what the thought is on cam selection when using propane. I was on propaneguy and noticed he had some LPG specific cams but it didnt give any specs.. I am planning on going with a Comp Cams camshaft with around 224* of duration and 470 lift. It says it will have a noticeable idle, whic...

Chevy 305 to propane conversion

Hi, I am new to the world of propane but I am a mechanic and have been researching propane for a few months now. I have a 91 s10 pickup with a 4 cylinder engine. I am planning a V8 swap in the spring, I already have the 305 engine and the propane tank. I want to run it on propane to save some bucks ...
