Re: BLOS mixers and turbos
The Blos works on constant vacuum carburation principle, so does Impco. Given the price, questionable sources and spares supply of the Blos unit, I would prefer Impco. But regarding your question, with a turbo setup you need to worry more about the regulator. The boost must be fed from upstream the ...

Re: IMPCO start assist
There are injectors and solenoid valves, I would refer to the one on that regulator as a solenoid valve. Injectors can dose fuel down to 3ms squirts, solenoid valves can't. For a simple pushbutton primer, a solenoid valve is good enough. I am currently working on a small electronic device that takes...

Re: IMPCO start assist
Again no. As you can read from your own post, the Impco SV is connected to the secondary pressure after the second reduction stage.

No. Impco refers to the pressure after the first reduction stage as the primary pressure.kikkegek wrote:...the primary side is the side where the liquid LPG comes into the regulator...

Re: IMPCO start assist
I suggest using a Hana Injector for about 20€ instead of the Impco SV and connect it to the primary side. As this is a low-z injector, a 2Ohm resistor in series is advisable.

Q-Jet Throttlebody & 425
Hi, I just came back from Detroit and brought along a Q-jet throttle body from a local junkyard. The plan is to upgrade my dual-fuel setup to dedicated propane, as I was not using the petrol system in like 6 years. Some holes on the adapter have no corresponding tap in the baseplate, see markings be...

well, take a closer look. The AC CS is exactly that.

Re: Randomly losing power @ WOT
Those electric lockoffs at least in Europe have to allow a backward flow into the tank when not energized. It is therefore not recommended to feed one line with multiple tanks without using oneway-valves. Even with a throw switch and only one lockoff energized at a time, there is still the danger of...

Re: Electric warming of vaporizer/convertor?
I did the calculations once and came up with something like 1.1kW of heat required for the LPG supply of a Citroen 2CV at rated power of 20kW - Only for the evaporation, let alone the superheat and ambient losses. Used exhaust heat instead, see http://fuelsforum.rasoenterprises.com/viewtopic.php?f=5...

Re: Vapor injection on older motor
Well, no Petrol system left in my ride, so the MS CNG just has to be reliable. Not sure what you mean by correction tables. I am not using tables as Ms2 has no memory left for additional lookup tables. I just programmed 5 lines of code that does the trick according to the physical equations posted e...

Re: Vapor injection on older motor
Running an LPG vapour injection system without sensing temp and pressure will work as stated earlier if conditions are stable - which they seldom are. I do not recommend this as it is not robust against any variation of fuel pressure (ambient temperature -> tank pressure or fuel filter related). Rel...

Re: 11.3:1cr but 10 Dynamic compression
My Mercedes with the stock M272 KE 30 (V6 3.0L) has a static CR of 11.3 and runs nicely with a sequential LPG injection, with our European standard summer mix of 60% Butane / 40% Propane. As it is designed to run on 95 RON petrol, why should it on a 100 RON LPG-Mix ?

Yes, that's the theory behind it. Discussed that a few month ago:

Re: 400SBC/300A choking questions
The spring setting is very sensitive, and misadjustment leads to the fault which gave that carby its nickname: Quadrabog.
Only a small sping tension change is needed here. Sorry for not pointing that out earlier.

Re: 400SBC/300A choking questions
A manually lifted 300A is less restrictive than a 300A with the gas valve fully open. So the lifting mechanism does make sense on a dual-fuel setup. In both cases, there is a depression caused by that mixer that does interfere with the Quadrajets secondary air flaps. Tweaking the spring load did the...
