Re: Forklift tank hp
I gutted the valve on the tank and went from a 5/16" to a 1/2" supply line. Problem solved!

Re: Tuning for max power at the strip
When my convertor wasn't keeping up it would stumble hard and then try to pick back up and then stumble again. You could watch the af gauge drop at each stumble. A drop of liquid really richins the mixture.

BOV?
Is there a need for two BOV's? I tried running one bov pre-mixer hoping not to have to buy a more expensive plumbback valve. I figured I could install it pre mixer and just let it vent into the engine compartment. I found on long wot pulls if I chopped the throttle and didn't immediately get back in...

Re: Adjusting Mixture on Turbo with 425/model E
You should get Franz's e-book. It doesn't cover turbo charging, but it is still nice to have. He list 4 valves for the 425 and gives a discription of their fueling characteristics. With the fb valve and your power valve adj do you still go full rich when you get out of the throttle? Are you running ...

Re: Turbo, Impco 200 won't rev on rapid acceleration
I had it on a different engine, but I had near linear af ratios with a 3/8 balance line, FB valve, and a orange spring in the H420.

Re: Expert opinion please?
I was using a woodward h-420. It kept my af just right, but my coolant sorce wasn't hot enough. The model E kept me from getting liquid to the mixer, but I got a bit of a lean spot in the mid range. For reference this is on a turbo app. So I assume my reference line isn't filling the extra volume of...

Re: Expert opinion please?
Hmm, I was under the impression the E had more surface area for the coolant to keep it from freezing. If there is no difference I may use an L. I think it will make plumbing easier.

Re: LPG race engine
So how hard is it to run over 20psi through impco stuff? I used a 3/16" aluminum ring for my modle E and didn't do anything to the 200. I have only ran up to 18psi. I want to run over 20psi this winter. I will probably switch to a 425 after I try the 200 to see if there is extra hp to be had. So I w...

Re: Octane rating
Good luck getting an accurate number. I called the outfit that supplies my local filling station and they claimed 110. I would love for this to be true, but I doubt it. Although I did make a couple of 18psi pulls with stock compression and didn't get a det light.

Re: Boost/cover question
I guess what I am trying to ask is will the motor run noticeably erratic? Will it show rich or lean on a a/f gauge? I got some longer screws and made a ring out of some 3/16" aluminum. I was just wondering if this isn't good enough am I going to be able to notice, or is it just going to be spilling ...

Boost/cover question
Franz I have seen you say the impco equipment is only good for about 8 psi and then the cover will warp and leak pressure. My question is, what are the symtoms of a warped cover, leaking pressure?

Re: Opinions
It was blue. I already changed it to an orange because that is what I liked in my h-420.
