prinz filter temp/pressure sender data wanted
searching for some basic data about the resistance curves given by the bosch 0281002576 combination fuel temp/ pressure sender unit found on top of the Prinz filter unit a fair bet to expect a delco curve for the temperature.. but is there any sure place to find out? also the inbuilt map sensor? 3 /...

Re: Lean acceleration and steady speeds above 50 mph.
one trick i used to fix my 225 setup was to use a switch ( in my case ecu controlled ) to trigger a HP shut off solenoid, mounted on the LP side , and short cut some mixture ( via a mig jet pill ) to the throttle body initially i used vacuum/ boost as the switch but found tps position to be an easie...

Re: Atomising Liquid Propane
there would be an issue with fidelity if using one injector tor for both liquid and vapour even with pressure and temperature compensation /fuel density map the injector needs very finite control and tiny injection period with liquid, but outrageously long duration required with vapour as mentioned ...

Re: Atomising Liquid Propane
im thinking comprex pressure wave supercharging on a 2 stroke or miller cycle compression ignition engine at a whole new level of efficiency// using the expansion ratio of liquid propane/butane to both a mechanical and adiabatic advantage inside the comprex supercharger//, also acting as the primary...

Re: Bumpstarts impco fed 1986 FC rx7 turbo ( rotary )
well. ive been a bit slack updating this one still my daily user . motor has now progressed to a mildport 13bt ( 4 port ) . though im still using the same turbo combo a haltech e8 ecu has been running full sequential 4 coil ignition, boost control , safety cut and power valve solenoid operation for ...

Re: turbo propane set up
a blow through setup does make all the difference its current rating is a 101.3 kpa. round that to 14.7 psi at 15 pounds boost it is now just over 200 kpa . and the airflow rating is similarly almost doubled the vapouriser works like a fuel reg in a EFI petrol car. referenced to manifold pressure, s...

Re: turbo propane set up
the reg is very different and much smaller than the mixer reg.. the latest are all milled metal and look remarkably like a large petrol aftermarket fuel reg. but with in/ out coolant hoses ( and a wiring pigtail ) and two outlets for v bank/staged bank etc it does not need to reduce the pressure as ...

Re: Blow through turbo Snowmobile
the impco VPV also uses the same secondary chamber and pill method for controlling the fuel.
it works just fine and it will err to be slightly richer as boost gets higher
because the differential between the delivery pressure and that post mixer rises with increasing boost

Re: Blow through turbo Snowmobile
my thought on the SV. .. or VPV a VPV or similar , as pointed out by gerald can operate also as an SV .. the VPV from impco is not boost rated .. your parts will be cold and more brittle and i wouldn't like to trust one under boost as for myself i use a HP shut off solenoid and a relay / mounted ont...

Re: Blow through turbo Snowmobile
nice rig. surprised at that fire up when cold. would have thought you would need a squirt of ether or a bag warmer for the bottle to help the cold start think also that you have been given a petrol AFR scale ( ie. running LPG but reading it on a wideband that is scaled to petrol AFR ) if you convert...

Re: turbo propane set up
i suppose that would be a nuance from the source of your particular blend. but i have been driving at 190 F for almost 10 yrs ! i dont have the filter in my lockoff solenoid anymore though when i pulled it the issue was dry rust /dust on the little magnet the model E is designed to run flat and keep...

Re: turbo propane set up
it is a system added to older cars to supplement the lack of valve lubricant in LPG fuel . just a bottle and a metering dripper and not unlike some water injections systems putting it pre turbo gets rid of issues with the bottle needing to take boost pressures and makes the metering easier to setup ...

Re: turbo propane set up
you are burning propane or propane/butane VAPOUR. by which it means there is little to none advantage in latent heat exchange with the inlet air in fact there is some minor volume displacement of the inlet air due to the expansion ratio of the LPG fuel when introduced into the inlet airstream it use...

Re: turbo propane set up
under boost you will be surprised ..as the motor will like significantly leaner mixtures than its petrol equiv and as such the BTU thing becomes irrelevant in the context where at 1 bar boost with petrol it must run at around 11:1 mixtures to keep flame speed within a margin and to maximise boundary...
